Tanzania is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), plus wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, hippos, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, and Ngorongoro Crater has wildlife all year round.
The most popular are Serengeti for the Great Migration, Ngorongoro Crater for year-round wildlife, Tarangire for elephants and baobab trees, and Lake Manyara for flamingos and tree-climbing lions.
Most safaris last 5 to 10 days, which gives time for several parks. A 3- or 4-day safari usually covers one or two parks, and 7 to 10 days lets you explore much more.
Park entrance fees, accommodation, meals (usually full board), game drives and a professional guide. Flights, drinks and personal expenses are not included unless stated.

Make sure your routine vaccinations are up to date. A yellow fever certificate is required if you arrive from a country with yellow fever. Anti-malaria medication is recommended. Check with your doctor before you travel.
