Day 1 – Arrival in Tanzania & Drive to Tarangire
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) around midday on your flight from Zanzibar. You will be met by our driver-guide and transferred to the Lake Burunge area. Upon arrival, check in at Lake Burunge Tented Lodge, settle in, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the lodge. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation.

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Explore different areas of the park with your experienced guide before returning to the lodge in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a short night drive for a different perspective of the African bush and a chance to spot nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3 – Bush Walk & Mto wa Mbu Cycling Tour
Start the morning with a guided bush walk from 06:30 to 08:30, accompanied by a local ranger. After the walk, return for breakfast and check out, then continue with a transfer to Mto wa Mbu for lunch. In the afternoon, take part in a cycling tour through the village, rice fields, and banana plantations for an authentic glimpse into local life, before a short drive up the escarpment to your accommodation.

Day 4 – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive through varied landscapes — from groundwater forests and open plains to the lakeshore — with chances to spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, and numerous bird species. In the evening, enjoy a night game drive through the park.

Day 5 – Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Highlands – Serengeti
After breakfast, depart toward the Ngorongoro Highlands and continue into the Serengeti, passing through spectacular highland scenery before descending onto the vast Serengeti plains. Enjoy game viewing along the way as you make your way toward Central Serengeti, arriving at Osero Serengeti Tented Camp in the evening to settle in.

Day 6 – Central Serengeti National Park
Spend the day exploring Central Serengeti on a full-day game drive. This area is renowned for its abundant resident wildlife, offering rewarding opportunities to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of plains animals, with your guide selecting the best areas based on current sightings.

Day 7 – Central Serengeti National Park
Enjoy another full day of game viewing in Central Serengeti. With the entire day available, there’s plenty of flexibility to explore different areas at a relaxed pace, with excellent opportunities for photography and memorable wildlife encounters.

Day 8 – Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Enjoy a morning game drive in Central Serengeti, making the most of your final hours in the park. Afterward, begin the journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing possible along the route, before arriving at the crater rim to relax and take in the spectacular highland surroundings.

Day 9 – Ngorongoro Crater
Today you’ll descend into Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most beautiful natural sights, spending most of the day exploring the crater floor. Watch for lions, hyenas, elephants, black rhinos, flamingos, and golden jackals amid forests, hippo-filled lakes, and salt pans in this pristine, wildlife-rich basin.

Day 10 – Ngorongoro – Usa River
After breakfast, depart from the Ngorongoro area and drive toward Usa River, to Giraffe Manor Tanzania. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the property, taking in the surroundings at your own pace. The horse ride is arranged for the following morning, so you can look forward to starting the next day with this special experience.

Day 11 – Horse Ride & Departure
Your safari in Tanzania will come to an end, bringing to a close your time in this remarkable country. We’re sure that you have had the most wonderful time. The morning will be characterized by the horse ride at Giraffe Manor, a memorable final experience before your transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
